The spookiest time of year has arrived and we have all the best family Halloween activities in the King/Pierce county area lined up for you!  There are an abundance of options for celebrating this harvest!  Your little Ghouls and Goblins will have no shortage of candy or opportunity to wear the costumes out among the spooks!  So get out your date book and get ready to plan the best, candy packed, trick-or-treat filled family Halloween EVER!!!

 MetroParks Harvest Fest October 18th and 25th

MetroParks are hosting 4 free family Halloween festivals throughout Tacoma, featuring hands-on arts and crafts, carnival style games, pumpkin fun, and live entertainment.  On Friday October 18th the festival with be at the Center at Norpoint from 5:30-7:30.  On the 25th of October the fun will be at the STAR center from 6:00 to 9:00, the Portland Ave Community Center from 6:30-9, and the Peoples Center from 6:00 to 9:00.  You can find more information about these events at http://www.metroparkstacoma.org/harvestfest



Lakewood Truck and Tractor Day

Saturday October 19th from 12:00-3:00 will be Lakewood’s 8th annual truck and tractor day.  This is a free festival where children can play on giant trucks and tractors, get free hard hats, take a hayride tour of Fort Steilacoom, and decorate pumpkins.  The festival is at Fort Steilacoom Park.  For more information about this family Halloween event you can visit https://www.cityoflakewood.us/government/departments/parks-and-recreation/events/truck-and-tractor-day

Halloween Mask Making at Bonney Lake and Buckley Libraries

Pierce County Library presents a free family Halloween event at the Bonney Lake and Buckley libraries.  There will be mask making, stories, and treats.  Costumes and encouraged and all materials are provided.  The fun will begin at the Bonney Lake library Sunday October 19th 10:30 AM-12:30 AM.  The fun will continue on Halloween, Thursday October 31st at the Buckley library at 4:00. Federal Way Family FunFest

Tricks and Treats will be plentiful at this family Halloween festival.  Saturday October 26th the fun begins for 2-6 years old from 2:30-430 PM.  Then from 5:00-7:00 the fun continues for the kids that are 7-12.  With pre-registration the fee is only $6, at the door it is $8.  There will be outdoor smores, carnival games, costume contest, prizes, candy, and much much more!  children under 2 and accompanying adults are free.  Check out more info at http://itallhappenshere.org/Events_324_1609282296.pdfFamily Halloween

 Auburn Family Halloween Harvest Festival

Start at Washington elementary and then trick-or-treat downtown Auburn Saturday October 26th from 2:00-5:00 PM.  There will be games, crafts, face painting, and treats!  A food donation for the Auburn food bank is requested.  There will also be photo opportunities for $2, a technology van, cocoa and cider, and more!  Get all the details at http://www.auburnwa.gov/things_to_do/community/Halloween_Harvest_Festival_s_p1372.htm?EventMode=View&EventOccurrence=0

The Landing In Renton Trick-or-Treat

Come and trick-or-treat in Renton at the Landing.  Have fun finding participating merchants with balloon bouquets in their window.  Have your picture taken with Dora the Explorer at the Union Bank photo booth ($1 suggested donation).  Trick-or-treating is Sunday October 27th from 1:00-3:00 PM.  Check out the details at http://www.thelandinginrenton.com/inthenews/
